Distinct Breeds Motivation

Wonder why people that sit at a computer make more than you?

Are you working with your hands and making a set hourly rate?

Is it hard to get a raise?

Don't have enough to enjoy your money after bills?

I said YES to all of these questions in the past, making me leave my 9-5 job as a loader/unloader at UPS, (United Parcel Service) and learn all I can about business, finance, and economics for the past year.

This led to me running around like a chicken with its head cut off. However, eventually it paid off. I learned so much that now if I return to a 9-5 they will have to pay me more to do less and the only thing they will pay me for will be my mindset.

You see this world pays more for the value of your mind then it will pay for your hard work, sweat, blood, and dedication. I LEARNED THIS THE HARD WAY!

Much like Robert Kyosoki, I had 2 Dads, a Rich and Poor one. My rich one makes money by sitting at a computer and talking all day. Yes he's a salesman and he's smart enough to learn about other companies and capitalize off of selling their products or services. He actually is so good he is able to write his own cheques.

Then there's my Poor dad. He worked 65 years retired and is living off of a pension and yet hasn't been able to accomplish half the stuff in his career as my Rich dad. Even down to where they live today 1 is upper middle class and the other is in the projects or low class living. Sad to say they're both good people and 1 worked physically harder than the other but only the smarter one came out on top.

I came to this conclusion myself when I was working at UPS and I was loading trucks each night for 6 months, coming home to see my Rich dad sitting on a computer talking and laughing. but he always made more money than me. Now of course I love my Dad but that created a envy in my heart for our financial situation here I am sweating rolling around in a bunch of dust and DON'T LET IT BE SUMMER TIME but he's sitting in a air conditioned house in a comfy chair nice table with his computer, headset, and his notes talking, laughing, and making enough money to have my job and pockets look like a complete dope(Stupid) joke.

Now he would always tell me you'll make more money with your mind than you ever will with your hands but that saying never clicked to me until I saw people I was physically out working getting more financial benefits and higher pay. ALSO you can imagine how mad I was seeing my pay go from $17 to $15 an hour, after peak season at UPS was over. But still I see my Rich Dad form deals and make more and more money at will. I knew I was a hard worker and even threatened to quit UPS. My boss said "I understand" and walked away!! "Foolish me right lol" Now had I had the smartest mind, and could produce more revenue than anyone on the team, maybe: then it would've been a threat. But, I had no value due to no financial education, and with what I was doing they just would've got the next person to do the same, and started them at $15 an hour meaning they would've been happy where they were while I was mad that I lost $2 an hour and couldn't do anything about it.

I PROMISED MYSELF THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN!!!!!!!

I gave myself a financial education that now my former co-workers have a hard time keeping up in financial conversations, and the CEO's see true value in talking to me, and also working with me.
